As you all may know my brother was involved in a tragic car accident about a year ago. He suffered severe brain damage in the accident. Due to the lack of quality care from 3 different Los Angeles, California hospital facilities, his condition only worsened. We witnessed his health and progress greatly diminish at these facilities which I refrain from naming to respect my brother's privacy.
Since having him discharged from the last facility my family and I have taken control of his health care recovery by bringing him home to provide real love and real care among his loved ones. This journey is challenging and expensive. We are limited in what we can do here, but we are Montiels and we never give up. Our determination is what carries us through these hard times. Personally, I spend many days and evenings researching various types of therapy that can help my brother recover.
Recently a friend pointed me in the direction of an alternative therapy that has a high success rate for patients with severe brain trauma like my brother. The therapy is called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and it is not new; however, most insurance providers do not cover the costs of this therapy. Of course this leaves us with a major challenge, and that is why we are seeking your help through donations. We want to provide at minimum a total of 40 sessions for my brother. Each session costs 185.00, thus we endeavor to raise a minimum of 10,000 dollars to help pay for the hyperbaric therapy sessions.
